JARRED ALTERMAN is a NYC based documentary filmmaker and DP, who won BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY at Tribeca Film Festival for CONTEMPORARY COLOR, a multi camera David Byrne concert/doc film directed by Bill and Turner Ross, featuring St. Vincent, Nelli Furtado, How to Dress Well, Zola Jesus, Ad-Rock, Money Mark and Dev Hynes. He has worked in music + dance related projects for over twenty years, including Charles Atlas and Merce Cunningham Dance Company. He photographed PROJECT X a short film by the Academy Award winning filmmaker Laura Poitras (Citzen Four) that played at Sundance ’17.
He is currently shooting with Arcade Fire.
In January he heads to the Sundance Film Festival as cinematographer with Bisbee ’17 a documentary feature directed by Robert Greene, produced by Fourth Row films.
His documentary, Convento, has played all over the world and won a special jury prize at IFFBoston.
